Why it must stay simple
The ETag for this page is computed from the fully rendered HTML. If any part of the page changes between requests — a recent-posts list, a comment count, a rotating quote, a nonce, a timestamp — the ETag changes even though no one edited anything, and Experiment A fails for reasons that have nothing to do with HTTP.

Stable body text
This paragraph will not change unless it is deliberately edited as part of an experiment. Its purpose is to give the page enough body content that a change is meaningful.
This second paragraph serves the same purpose. Together they provide a stable baseline against which content modifications can be measured.
